Toilet Repair / Conroe, Texas
My toilet keeps running, leaking, or rocking
A toilet that runs all night, rocks when you sit down, or leaves water on the floor is one of those problems you can't ignore for long. It happens in every house. Toilets are simple machines, and nearly every problem comes down to a few parts inside the tank or the seal underneath.

Best case
You may not need a call.
A lot of running toilets are a fix you can do yourself. The water in the tank is clean, and nothing in there is under pressure.
What should I do first?
- Lift the tank lid. If the chain is tangled or caught under the flapper, free it so the flapper can close.
- If water is spilling into the tall overflow tube, lower the float. Most have an adjustment screw or clip.
- Put a few drops of food coloring in the tank and wait 15 minutes without flushing. If color shows up in the bowl, the flapper is leaking, and a new one from the hardware store fits most toilets.
Call us if: It still runs after a new flapper, the toilet rocks or leaks at the base, or the valve on the wall won't turn or drips when you touch it. Don't force a stuck valve.
If it needs a repair: A worn flapper. It's replaced in a few minutes, and the toilet stops running.
Typical case
A repair with clear options.
Several worn parts in the tank, like the fill valve, flapper, and supply line. Replacing them together fixes it in one visit, so you don't call us back for the next part.

Exception case
It may be a bigger job.
The toilet rocks or leaks at the base, or keeps wearing out parts. We reset it on a new seal, and check whether high water pressure is wearing the parts out.
If it becomes project work, we'll evaluate the scope and prepare a separate quote. We'll explain that before you decide.

Everyday repairs / Catalog prices
Your options. Our prices.
The repair tiers are about how much of the tank we rebuild, from the flapper alone to every part inside, not about the quality of the work. Resetting a rocking or leaking toilet on a new wax ring is a separate add-on when the seal underneath has failed.
Every option is professional work. The difference is the scope: what we repair, how much we address, and what that means for you.

Additional work, only when needed
The plumber confirms which option fits after diagnosis. You approve the work and its price before we start. A project is scoped and quoted separately.

Understanding the problem
What might be behind it.
A worn flapper
The rubber flapper at the bottom of the tank stops sealing, so water leaks into the bowl and the tank keeps refilling. It's the most common toilet problem there is.
A worn fill valve or supply line
The fill valve refills the tank and shuts the water off. When it wears out, the toilet hisses, refills on its own, or won't stop running. The supply line on the wall can drip too.
A failed wax ring or loose bolts
The wax ring seals the toilet to the drain in the floor. If the toilet rocks, or water shows up around the base when you flush, that seal has likely failed.
On the visit
What we check.
- Whether water is leaking from the tank into the bowl, with a dye test if needed.
- The flapper, fill valve, water level, and the supply line and valve on the wall.
- Whether the toilet rocks or leaks at the base, which points to the seal underneath.
- For toilets that keep wearing out parts, the water pressure in the house.
How do I decide which option is right for me?
One part or all of them
Replacing only the worn part fixes today's problem. On an older toilet, replacing the tank parts together keeps the next one from failing a few months later.
Repeat visits
If a toilet keeps wearing out parts, the cause may be the water pressure, not the toilet. Fixing that saves you from repairing the same toilet again.
Downtime
Most toilet repairs are done in one visit, and the toilet works as soon as we finish.
