Leak Detection / Conroe, Texas
I think I have a leak, but I can't find it
A water bill that jumped for no reason, a damp spot on the floor, or the sound of water running when everything is off is unsettling. You know something's wrong, but you can't see it. Hidden leaks are common, and finding them is our job, not yours.

What could this take?
Best case
You may not need a call.
You can check for the most common hidden leak yourself, for free, before you call us.
What should I do first?
- Put a few drops of food coloring in the toilet tank. Wait 15 minutes without flushing. If the color shows up in the bowl, the flapper is leaking.
- Turn off every faucet and appliance, then look at the water meter. If the leak indicator is still moving, water is going somewhere.
- Look under sinks and behind the toilet for drips, stains, or a wet cabinet floor.
Call us if: The meter is still moving with everything off, you find water where it shouldn't be, a floor feels warm, or the bill keeps climbing and you can't find why.
If it needs a repair: It's a toilet or an exposed fixture. We find it quickly and fix it.
Typical case
A repair with clear options.
A hidden leak in a wall or cabinet. We pinpoint it before opening anything, so we open as little as possible.
- Leak Detection
- $99–$299
Exception case
It may be a bigger job.
A leak under the slab or in the main line. Finding it is the first step. The repair is a separate decision, and we'll show you the options.
If it becomes project work, we'll evaluate the scope and prepare a separate quote. We'll explain that before you decide.

Everyday repairs / Catalog prices
Your options. Our prices.
Leak detection finds the leak and tells you where it is before anything is opened up. A toilet dye test is a quick check for the most common hidden leak. Repairs depend on what we find, so we price them after the leak is located. For water actively coming through a ceiling or wall, see emergency plumbing.
Every option is professional work. The difference is the scope: what we repair, how much we address, and what that means for you.
Leak Detection
The plumber confirms which option fits after diagnosis. You approve the work and its price before we start. A project is scoped and quoted separately.

Understanding the problem
What might be behind it.
A running toilet
A worn flapper lets water trickle into the bowl all day. It's silent, it's the most common hidden leak, and it's easy to fix.
A leak under a sink or behind a wall
A supply line, valve, or pipe joint drips where you can't see it. It shows up as a stain, a musty smell, or a soft spot.
A leak under the slab or in the yard
A leak in the water line under the foundation or on the way to the meter. A warm spot on the floor or a wet patch in the yard can point to it.
On the visit
What we check.
- The water meter with everything off, to confirm there's a leak and how fast it runs.
- Toilets, fixtures, and supply lines first, the simplest places to find a leak.
- Walls, ceilings, and floors for moisture, stains, and warm spots.
- Whether the leak is inside the house, under the slab, or between the house and the meter.
How do I decide which option is right for me?
Finding it first
Pinpointing the leak before opening a wall or floor means less damage and less repair afterward.
Waiting
A slow leak can wait a few days. One that's soaking a wall or running the meter hard shouldn't. Water damage and mold get worse with time.
Your next step
Let's get it sorted.
Tell us what's happening. We'll confirm the cause, explain the options, and let you decide.

My water pressure is too high, too low, or keeps changing
Pipes that bang when a faucet shuts off, a toilet that keeps wearing out, or a shower that suddenly goes weak are all easy to live with until they aren't. Many homes have a pressure regulator where the water line comes in. It's a part that wears out like any other, and when it does, the whole house feels it.
